Cherry Blossom Festival in San Diego
MARCH 7-10: Families can visit the children's area for games and enjoy performances including taiko drums, geisha opera, lion dance, cosplay contest, and kendo demonstrations.
Toro Nagashi Ceremony at the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Diego
Augsut 8-9: A ceremony to honor those who have passed. The floating lanterns commemorate loved ones and wish them peace. Guests will be able to float their candle-lit lanterns (LED candles) in the lower garden stream during the festival.

March 12-15: Stroll beneath blooming cherry blossoms, enjoy cultural performances, family activities, food vendors, and a festive beer and sake garden in Balboa Park. Admission required.
Children’s Day | Japanese Friendship Garden, San Diego
May 3: Make koinobori, watch taiko and yosakoi performances, and enjoy Japanese treats in a garden setting.
