Explore the traditions and culture of Japan’s Tohoku region through activities highlighting its six prefectures. Visit information booths, collect stamps in a stamp rally for a chance to win an origami kit, and explore a mini exhibit featuring traditional Kokeshi dolls.

A Kokeshi Doll Painting workshop is also available from 1-2:30 p.m., where guests can learn about the dolls’ history and craftsmanship before designing their own Kokeshi-inspired doll to take home.

Admission: Activities and mini exhibit are free with garden admission. Kokeshi Doll Painting workshop is $35 general admission and $20 for JFGM members.
