September 5 - November 8: Celebrate Halloween with 100+ spirited puppets, silly songs, spooky fun, a Día de los Muertos sequence, and costume parades in October.
October 1-31: During the entire month of October, kids 12 and under receive free admission with a paid adult to more than 70 of San Diego County's favorite museums, historic sites, aquariums, gardens and more. Many are even free for the whole family!
Select nights, October 2-30: Trick-or-treat, enjoy 11 rides, hop aboard the Halloween Express Train, explore the Cosmic Vortex, join a scavenger hunt and dance party, and more.
October 13 - November 7: Learn about knights, armor, and medieval customs during a docent talk, then make a take-home brass rubbing using metallic waxes and replica brass plates from English churches. English tea is also available with a reservation.
Through October 31: Enter the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery for a chance to purchase tickets for 2027 games in San Diego, Los Angeles, or Anaheim. FREE to enter!
October 22: Observe Saturn's rings and the waxing gibbous Moon through high-powered telescopes and binoculars. Explore the science, history, and mythology of the Moon and join a green laser-guided constellation tour.
October 23–25: Watch Bluey and Bingo team up to get Dad off the bean bag in a live theatre adaptation of the Emmy award-winning series. Meet the Heelers as puppets, follow an original story, and hear new music.
October 23 – November 1: Hop on carnival rides, play games of skill and chance, and browse local artisans at the largest fall festival in Los Angeles County. Live music takes the stage on weekends, and a food court rounds out the 12-acre fair.
October 23–24: Catch the season finale of pro drifting, with the PRO championship title on the line. Watch qualifying and Top 32 seeding on Friday, then cheer on tandem elimination battles through the Top 32, Top 16, and Final Four on Saturday.
OCTOBER 16, 17, 23 & 30: Decorate haunted mansions, enjoy a one-day Halloween Camp, attend the annual costume party and trick-or-treat, and make Rice Krispie Spiders –– all at Lil' Chef Cooking School.
Every Friday: Explore nature with story time, crafts, science, and guided activities designed for preschoolers. FREE!

October 24: Based on the bestselling series, Dog Man: The Musical is a hilarious and heartwarming show following the crime-fighting chronicles of Dog Man, who has the head of a dog and the body of a policeman.
October 24–25, October 31 & November 1: Dress up in costume and head to trick-or-treat stations, activity booths, festive games, and pumpkin bingo. Pose for family photos and meet wildlife during meet and greets and presentations.
October 24: Move, play, and explore like Blippi at a live show with Blippi and Meekah. Sing along to songs like "The Excavator Song" and "Dino Dance" during an interactive adventure packed with music, laughter, and surprises.
October 24–25: Watch a bumbling maintenance crew chase a magical yellow bird across land, sea, and sky in this wordless family show. Puppetry, masks, physical comedy, and playful gibberish tell the story, and the performance is fully accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences as well as non-English speakers.
October 24: Follow Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog as they start a comics club for 21 baby frogs. Watch the frogs' bickering and big imaginations send their comics off the rails in this musical based on Dav Pilkey's book series.
October 24-25: Celebrate Japanese culture with family activities, cultural demonstrations, food, and horse racing at Santa Anita Park. Kids 17 and under are FREE!
October 24: Tour the campus and learn about programs for children from age 2.5 through 8th grade. Explore a curriculum taught one year ahead of grade level, plus violin, French, Spanish, athletics, and dedicated science, music, and art facilities.
