St. Joseph’s Day and Return of the Swallows Celebration | Mission San Juan Capistrano
March 19: Celebrate the annual return of the famous swallows to Capistrano with live Mariachi music, Flamenco dance, Native American storytelling, and a lecture by swallows expert Dr. Charles Brown. Ring the historic bells, tour Serra Chapel, and enjoy crafts including bracelet and trucker hat making.
Capistrano Lights at Mission San Juan Capistrano
DECEMBER 19-23 and 26-30: Join in the spirit this holiday season at the Mission for Capistrano Lights: Mission Lights! The beloved annual event returns with 10 days and nights of family fun. Enjoy a life-sized nativity, the stunning light tunnel with over 20,000 lights, Dickens Carolers, family crafts, sing-alongs during the tree lighting program, hot cocoa and S’mores, plus lots more. Santa will even be on hand for photos!
