The Empire Strides Back | Granada Beach, Long Beach
May 3: Run a Star Wars-themed 5K, 10K, half marathon, 1-miler, or kids dash along the Long Beach waterfront. Costumes are encouraged, and every finisher receives a medal. Members of the 501st Legion will be on site with screen-accurate Star Wars characters at the finish line.

August 17: See giant kites fill the sky at the Pacific Kite Festival, plus workshops, food trucks, live music, and eco-education stations.
