Tanaka Farms offers u-pick wagon rides and guided tours of their 30-acre farm all year long. Depending on the season, the wagon stops for you to pick a variety of fruits and veggies. A produce market stand and gift shop is also open daily.
Visit the Barnyard Educational Exhibit to see donkeys, goats, sheep, and even a mini cow. The barn also hosts special events, storytime, and a Chicken Club (February – June) where kids (ages 5-18) learn all about chickens and compete in chicken shows.
Check out their Chicks & Sprouts Workshop, where kids (ages 4-10) learn about baby chicks, plant their own sunflower, harvest veggies, and visit the animals.
Seasonal harvest festivals, pumpkin patch, farm-to-table cookouts, CSA program (locally delivered farm produce boxes), group tours, and private parties also available.
Kidsguide Tip: Tanaka Farms also operates Hana Field in Costa Mesa, where you can stroll through a field of sunflowers.
