Marine Mammal Care Center Los Angeles

MMCCLA is a hospital for seals and sea lions that become stranded along the 70+ miles of beaches from Malibu to Seal Beach due to illness, injury and malnutrition. The center is open to the public on weekends for 15-minute, docent-led tours. Visitors can see seals and sea lion patients from a safe distance.

Reservations are encouraged and tours are free ($5 donation per person appreciated).

KG Tip: Round out your ocean-themed day with a trip to Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, just 5 minutes away!
