Marine Mammal Care Center Los Angeles
MMCC Los Angeles is a safe-haven hospital for marine mammals that become stranded in Santa Monica Bay, Malibu, Long Beach and the Ports.
Visitors can see seal and sea lion patients from a safe distance. Docent-led tours are available for groups of 10 or more.
High school students can earn community service hours and college/veterinary students can participate in their 10-week Husbandry Internship. MMCC has a variety of other volunteer opportunities, submit an application online.
MMCC also hosts educational events and activities throughout the year.
Animal viewing and parking is free.
