Cast a line and kick off the morning with this fun, hands-on fishing event just for kids.
The Youth Fishing Derby invites children ages 5–15 to learn basic fishing skills, practice safety, and enjoy a friendly competition out on the water. Whether it’s their first time holding a fishing pole or they’re already little pros, this event is all about getting outside, trying something new, and having fun.
Participants can compete for prizes while learning from experienced staff, with a limited number of loaner rods available for those who need them.
Important notes:
- Please bring your own fishing pole if possible
- No adult fishing allowed
- Pre-registration encouraged
- Free parking available
