Celebrate 50 years of Malibu Creek State Park with an evening of food, activities, storytelling, and stargazing.
Starting at 4:30pm, explore food trucks, a wine & beer garden, and a variety of activity booths. Observe fossils, learn about local trees, make art, and more.
At 6:30pm, listen to stories from tribal members, scientists, historians, and others about the people and living things who have shaped the park. Cap the night at 8pm with a star party and anniversary cake.
Schedule of activities:
- Live music, food trucks, and beer & wine garden (4:30pm)
- Fossil observation with the Natural History Museum
- Tree exploration with the Resource Conservation District
- Art-making with Santa Monica Mountain Nature Journal Club
- Stories Under the Stars storytelling program (6:30pm)
- Star party with the Los Angeles Astronomical Society (8pm)
