Open Garden Day | Santa Ana

Saturday, May 9

Saturday, May 9, 2026

Step inside some of Santa Ana’s most beautiful private gardens during this self-guided tour through historic neighborhoods.

Now in its 19th year, Open Garden Day offers a rare opportunity to explore thoughtfully designed residential gardens, each with its own style, layout, and inspiration. What began as a small neighborhood tradition has grown into a beloved community event celebrating horticulture, creativity, and local history.

  • 9 featured gardens, including Santiago Elementary’s garden
  • Self-guided walking and shuttle tour across multiple neighborhoods
  • Hop-on, hop-off shuttle buses between garden locations
  • Garden-themed vendors and artisan goods at the Promenade
  • Expert talks from gardening and environmental organizations
  • Live plein air painting and art displays
  • Hands-on garden crafts and activities
  • Live music performances throughout the day
  • Food trucks and local dining options

Don’t miss special moments like live artists painting in the gardens and expert presentations from groups like Sea & Sage Audubon Society and UC Master Gardeners.
