Step inside some of Santa Ana’s most beautiful private gardens during this self-guided tour through historic neighborhoods.
Now in its 19th year, Open Garden Day offers a rare opportunity to explore thoughtfully designed residential gardens, each with its own style, layout, and inspiration. What began as a small neighborhood tradition has grown into a beloved community event celebrating horticulture, creativity, and local history.
What to expect:
- 9 featured gardens, including Santiago Elementary’s garden
- Self-guided walking and shuttle tour across multiple neighborhoods
- Hop-on, hop-off shuttle buses between garden locations
- Garden-themed vendors and artisan goods at the Promenade
- Expert talks from gardening and environmental organizations
- Live plein air painting and art displays
- Hands-on garden crafts and activities
- Live music performances throughout the day
- Food trucks and local dining options
Don’t miss special moments like live artists painting in the gardens and expert presentations from groups like Sea & Sage Audubon Society and UC Master Gardeners.

Free street parking available. Dogs allowed in promenade areas only (not inside gardens).
