LAFD Fire Service Day | Citywide Open Firehouse Celebration

Get a behind-the-scenes look at your neighborhood fire station during this citywide open house across Los Angeles.

LAFD Fire Service Day invites families to step inside local fire stations, meet firefighters, explore fire trucks and equipment, and learn how crews respond to emergencies and keep communities safe. This annual event is designed to be both fun and informative, giving visitors a chance to connect directly with their local fire teams while learning about safety and disaster preparedness.

This year’s theme, “Forward Together: Building a More Resilient Los Angeles,” highlights how innovation, community partnership, and preparedness are shaping a stronger future for the city.

While most LAFD fire stations across Los Angeles will be open, a few locations will serve as focal sites with expanded activities, demonstrations, and special displays:

Focal Sites (extra demos & activities):

  • Fire Station 13 – 2401 W. Pico Blvd (Central Bureau)
  • Fire Station 112 – 444 S. Harbor Blvd, Berth 86 (South Bureau)
  • Fire Station 88 – 5101 N. Sepulveda Blvd (Valley Bureau)
  • Fire Station 63 – 1930 Shell Ave (West Bureau)

Additional participating stations may include:

  • Fire Station 37 (Westwood)
  • Fire Station 65 (Watts)
  • Fire Station 86 (Toluca Lake)
  • Fire Station 91 (Sylmar)
  • Fire Station 94 (Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw)

Some stations may offer extra activities like food, games, and special displays, depending on location.

Sunday, May 10 (extended open houses at select stations):

  • Fire Station 58 – 1556 S Robertson Blvd
  • Fire Station 61 – 5821 W 3rd St
  • Fire Station 102 – 13200 Burbank Blvd

Important notes:

  • All stations are drop-in—no registration required
  • Fire Stations 51, 80, and 114 are not open (located on secure airport grounds)
  • Offerings may vary by location
