Clockshop’s Kite Festival | Los Angeles Historic State Park

Saturday, May 9

Saturday, May 9, 2026

Head to the park for an afternoon of art, movement, and community at Clockshop’s annual Kite Festival.

This year’s theme, Take a Breath, celebrates the wind, open skies, and shared space that bring people together. Families can spend the day building kites, enjoying live music, and watching the sky fill with color.

What to expect:

  • Free kite-making and art workshops (all supplies provided)
  • Artist installations and large-scale inflatable sculptures
  • Handcrafted kite competition for kids and adults
  • Live music, dancing, and cumbia lessons
  • Community booths and local organizations

Bring your own handmade kite to enter the competition or just come ready to create and fly one on-site.

Event is free; $5–$10 suggested donation.
