Free Public Telescope Night at Orange Coast College Planetarium
SEPTEMBER 8 & 23: Join planetarium experts and OCC Astronomy faculty for a night of stargazing! Put your eye to an array of powerful telescopes pointed towards the heavens so you can experience the universe for yourself.

Solar Eclipse at OCC Planetarium
OCTOBER 14: Watch through powerful solar telescopes and eclipse glasses as the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun. Plus, enjoy a special dome presentation, drawing for prizes, and meet real astronomers.
Rover 2-Day Camp (STEM Explorers) at OCC Planetarium
APRIL 20-21: Children (grades 7-12)will be able to get creative and explore engineering while they build rovers from scratch with LEGOs during OCC Planetarium's robotics competition. They will watch their ideas come to life as they design, construct, code, and compete with their creations. This camp requires commitment for both Saturday and Sunday, each day will comprise of different tasks that build on each other.
One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure at OCC Planetarium
JULY 6, JULY 25 and JULY 30: Follow along with Big Bird, Elmo, and their friend from China, Hu Hu Zhu, as they take you on a journey of discovery to learn about the Big Dipper, the North Star, the Sun, and the Moon.
Magic Tree House – Space Mission at the Orange Coast College Planetarium
JULY 5: Travel with the brother-sister duo Jack and Annie in their Magic Treehouse as they learn about how scientists uncover the mysteries of the universe.
Community Science Night at Orange Coast College
OCTOBER 4: Enjoy kid friendly activities and demonstrations in Chemistry, Marine Science, Astronomy, Geology, Engineering, Health Science, Biology, Archaeology, Psychology and more. Explore the OCC campus including the Aquarium, Planetarium, Horticulture gardens and enjoy free hot dogs.

March 1: Celebrate the OCC Planetarium’s reopening with free planetarium shows, hands-on activities, giveaways, and an aquarium visit.

March 7: A laser light show set to Taylor Swift’s greatest hits from all ten eras.
Skywatchers at OCC Planetarium
March 8: Join a planetarium expert on a live guided tour of the night sky. Learn about the constellations, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.

International Observe the Moon Night at Orange Coast College
October 4: View the waxing gibbous moon through high-powered telescopes and engage with knowledgeable astronomy students and faculty, who will be on hand to share fascinating insights about the moon's craters, mountains, and seas. FREE!
