The New Children’s Museum
The New Children’s Museum is a multi-level 50,000 square-foot facility filled with inventive and engaging experiences with contemporary art.
This arts-based museum features room-sized art installations including El Más Allá, color, imaginative world with giant slide, foam blocks and geometric sculptures, Wobbleland, an active space where toddlers can play with food sculptures, and The Wonder Sound, a labyrinth of rooms, nooks, and ropes.
A variety of art studios are also available for kids to create with clay and paint, plus the Innovators Lab, the museum’s very own makerspace. For toddlers 3 and under, check out the Disco Rainbow Cave where kids can head to the dance floor or play with “lava lamps”.
Camps, community programs, birthday parties, and memberships are available. Accessibility mornings, workshops, and special events are scheduled throughout the year.
Enjoy $2 admission through the Museums for All program. Show your state issued California EBT card for discount. They also offer more programs for free or deeply discounted admission – see their Access Programs page for more info.
