Downey Parks and Recreation — Summer Camps (2026)

Classic summer camp fun with weekly adventures and off-site excursions!

Camp Downey gives kids a chance to make new friends, try exciting activities, and stay active in a safe and well-supervised environment. Each week, campers enjoy games, crafts, and outdoor fun, plus 1-2 bus excursions for off-site adventures. Specialty Interest Camps will also be available for those looking to dive into specific activities.

The camp provides everything needed for a fun-filled experience, including supervision, materials, and craft supplies—just pack a sack lunch!

Extended care is available for families who need extra flexibility.

Program Highlights:

Weekly Bus Excursions 1–2 off-site adventures each week for added summer excitement.

All Materials Included Craft supplies and activity materials are provided — just bring lunch.

Junior Counselor Program Teens ages 13–15 gain leadership experience while assisting camp staff.

Program Details:

Ages: 6–12 (Junior Counselor Program ages 13–15)

Dates: June 8 – August 7, 2026

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Extended Care: 7 – 9 a.m. & 4 – 6 p.m.

Location: Downey, CA

Cost: $150 per week ($154 non-resident)
Extended Care: $20 per week
