Columbia Memorial Space Center — Space Summer Camp 2025
Get ready for a summer of creativity and discovery at Columbia Memorial Space Center’s Space Summer Camps! From launching rockets in Astronaut Training to inventing the future in Sci-Fi Engineering, there’s something for every curious mind. Campers can explore nature in Environmental Science or bring big ideas to life in our hands-on Makerspace. It’s all about learning, experimenting, and having fun!
Summer Space Camp | Ages 8-9 & 10-12
June 16-20, 2025: Astronaut Training Camp
Train like an astronaut and experience space exploration up close! Campers will examine real photos and film taken from space, participate in simulated space missions, and cap off the week by launching rockets.
June 23-27, 2025: Sci-Fi Engineering Camp
Decode a mysterious transmission from outer space and uncover the real science behind favorite sci-fi movies and shows. Campers will beam down to an exoplanet of their own creation, transform liquids into wearable solids, and explore the role of an astrobiologist.
July 7-11, 2025: Environmental Science Camp
Investigate the natural world through exciting hands-on activities! Campers will dig into fossils and geology, explore native plant life, learn about pollination, and dive into ocean ecosystems.
July 14-18, 2025: Makerspace Camp
A camp designed for young inventors! Campers will tinker, build, and experiment with tools, materials, and electronics to design and create their own functional toys.
Ages: 8-9 & 10-12
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: $225 non-members / $199 members
Young Explorers Camp | Ages 6-7
June 30 – July 2, 2025: Makerspace Camp
Get hands-on with tools and materials to tinker, build, and explore creative engineering.
$135 non-members / $120 members
July 21-25, 2025: Environmental Science Camp
Discover the world around us through hands-on activities that explore fossils, plants, pollination, and oceans.
$225 non-members / $199 members
