Kidsguide was invited to an exclusive preview and hard hat tour of the new land for an early look of the new land! All photos and impressions are from our on-site visit. Additional images courtesy of LEGOLAND.

Galacticoaster: Design, Scan, Ride
Galacticoaster begins long before boarding! Guests design their spacecraft at Customization Bays selecting their own nose, tail, wings, and other fun features.
The RFID wristband “Spacecraft Key” lets riders see themselves aboard the vehicle they created. There are more than 625 unique build combinations, meaning guests could ride daily for nearly two years without repeating the same spacecraft.
The experience includes:
- immersive queue and storyline-driven pre-shows
- briefing hosted by Biff Dipper, LEGOLAND’s first robotic minifigure!
- 4-person ride vehicle that launches into twists and turns up to 40 mph
- onboard sound, lighting, and LEGO Space sets from past, present, and future

- Junior Astronaut Training Zone (active play + exploration)
- DUPLO Launch & Land (flight simulator for early riders)
- Rocket Assembly Bay (build + scan + launch digitally)
Hands-On LEGO Play
At Rocket Assembly Bay, kids build their own rockets using LEGO bricks, then digitally scan and blast them into cyberspace!

Retail & Souvenirs
Orbital Outpost serves as the land’s primary retail location with exclusive LEGO Galaxy merchandise and mission souvenirs.
Easter Eggs & LEGO Lore Nods
The land includes subtle LEGO history details highlighted during the Hard Hat Tour:
- Dragon Trees used in the new land are preserved originals from LEGOLAND California
- Spaceport 886 (Galacticoaster’s building) is named after LEGO Set 886 — the 1970s Space Buggy that helped define classic LEGO Spaceport theming
