Free Home Depot Kids Workshops

Looking for a Saturday morning activity that doesn’t involve screens or tickets? Home Depot’s free Kids Workshops are a hands-on way for kids (ages 5-12) to build, create, and bring something home they made themselves.
Each workshop comes with everything kids need to follow simple step-by-step instructions. Store associates, known as Workshop Captains, are there to guide the process, but grown-ups should plan to stay nearby and join the fun. Projects usually take around 30 minutes to complete, which is just enough time to feel like a win without losing the whole morning.
Each kid walks away with:
- A finished project they made themselves
- Kid-sized Home Depot apron
- Collectible achievement pin
- Certificate to celebrate their accomplishment
Pins are half the fun! Each project comes with its own unique pin, and plenty of families make it a monthly tradition so kids can collect them all. Like a little badge of honor for every project completed.
Upcoming Projects:
- September 6, 2025 – Crop Duster
- October 4, 2025 – Haunted Candy Box
- November 1, 2025 – Excavator
- November 29, 2025 – Teddy Bear Ornament
- December 6, 2025 – Holiday Cocoa Mug
- January 3, 2026 – Tow Truck
Workshops happen the first Saturday of each month at 9am in Home Depot stores nationwide, while supplies last. Registration is encouraged so your child has a kit ready to go. Learn more and register at www.homedepot.com/c/kids-workshop.
