February 6: Long Beach Public Library kicks off Black History Month with "For the Culture" at the African American Cultural Center. Enjoy cultural programming, local vendors with artist-made goods, and interactive art experiences celebrating Black artists and their role in storytelling. FREE!

February 7-8: Rancho Los Cerritos opens "Seeds of Resilience: Barrio Americano," centering Mexican American histories in Long Beach. Saturday's opening celebration features crafts, children's activities, historic adobe tours, and coffee and pastries inspired by sobremesa. Extended hours Sunday. RSVP recommended.

February 7: The Autry in Griffith Park celebrates Valentine's Day with western-themed crafts and activities in the Family Play Space. Create Valentine cards, complete a Pony Express scavenger hunt, and make mailbags while supplies last. Free with museum admission.

February 7: Discovery Cube hosts an Impact Event at the Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy with hands-on conservation activities. Participate in wetlands conservation work (ages 8+) or harvest and plant seeds in the nursery (all ages). Two shifts available: 9:00 AM-11:30 AM or 12:30 PM-3:00 PM.
