SUNDAY, APRIL 10: We Play Loud will be hosting a crime fighting-themed event with some very special guests. Enjoy a scavenger hunt, snacks, and an exciting playground to climb and slide on! Costumes encouraged!

SATURDAY, APRIL 10: Join Segerstrom Center for the Arts on the Argyros Plaza for a movie night featuring Aladdin (2019). Each viewing area will be separated by 6 feet of space from neighboring viewing areas.

SUNDAY, APRIL 11: Enjoy a drive-in movie screening of Incredibles 2. Space is limited, RSVP to reserve a parking spot. Event parking opens at 4:30 p.m. and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

APRIL 12-16: Spring Break Nature Camp will provide a learning experience while also giving campers the opportunity to get outside for fresh air, physical activity, and a chance to hang out socially with their peers.

SATURDAY, APRIL 17L: Join the Newport Bay Conservancy for three family-friendly scavenger hunts. Pick up your Earth Day Adventure Pack and go on your choice of three different scavenger hunts (.35-mile, 3-mile, and 11-mile loop around the entire bay). 

SATURDAY & SUNDAY, APRIL 17-18: The world's largest traveling seedling tomato sale returns to the farm! Tomato plant varieties including cherry, grape and heirloom, vegetable and herb, will be available daily & continually restocked until they are gone!

SATURDAY, APRIL 17: Create a pretty painting of a succulent. You will work together to observe the colors and qualities of a beautiful succulent from the Sherman garden and use simple step by step watercolor techniques to create your own botanical portrait.

APRIL 19-25: To celebrate Earth Day and the beauty of California native blooms, California Garden Horticulturist Layla Valenzuela will create a display featuring both real wildflowers and hand-crafted paper flowers.

FRIDAY, APRIL 23: A creative dance class in the garden inspired by butterflies, birds and flowers. Children will move, dance, and go on a creative journey through the garden.

SATURDAY, APRIL 24: This year, the West Covina Cherry Blossom Festival will be a socially-distanced, contactless, drive-through event by appointment only in 30-minute time slots. Food and craft items available for pre-order only.

SATURDAY, APRIL 24: In this family workshop you will create your own ‘Garden Book.’ Learn to make an accordion book with covers and a hidden page, then customize and decorate the inside of your book with colorful cut paper and drawings to create a bountiful garden.

SATURDAY, APRIL 24: Enjoy a flying demo event of two powerful warbirds—the North American T-28 "Trojan" trainer and the North American P-51D "Mustang."

SUNDAY, APRIL 25: Come out and enjoy some fun and shop small from your local community. Pet-friendly, kid-friendly, live music, photo ops, and food.

SATURDAY, MAY 1: Enjoy a Flying Demo of the Museum's General Motors TBM "Avenger" torpedo bomber.

Kids, ages 5 and up, learn how to make tacos three different ways: Carne Asada, Chicken Fajitas & Cheesecake Tacos with fruit compote!

MAY 6-8: Purchase a Tea Party To-Go bag online and pick up at the library. Bag includes instruction sheets, paper tea cup craft, mermaid crown craft, pearl bracelet craft, ocean slime craft, bingo game, scavenger hunt game, decorations, mermaid punch drink mix, gift cards, and more!

FRIDAY, MAY 7: Come cook with mom! This fun workshop teaches Lil' Chefs to follow a recipe, learn knife skills, and how to make yummy food while having fun and cooking with Mom. On the menu is Pizza on a Stick (with homemade pizza dough), Anti-Pasta Salad, and Strawberry Trifles.

SATURDAY, MAY 8: Spend a day on the ranch for Mother's Day. Enjoy pony rides, ranch tour, pet goats and chickens, roses for mom, fun games and activities.

SUNDAY, MAY 9: Enjoy a picnic in the Central Courtyard of Mission San Juan Capistrano. Book a picnic space and bring your own meal -OR- book through Pacific Picnic Company to create a picnic experience that includes seating, decor, and a meal.

SUNDAY, MAY 9: Mothers will receive a free Extreme Feed, where you get to feed one of the many big cats at Forever Wild.

WEEKEND, MAY 15-16: Take a peek at the inner workings of vintage aircrafts and automobiles.

SUNDAY, MAY 16: Watch live performances and enjoy springtime activities on the Argyros Plaza. Activities include springtime-themed cookie decorating, create your own mini herb garden, decorate and wear a pair of butterfly wings, and more!

THURSDAY, MAY 20: Learn how adobes are maintained and how to repair sun-dried bricks. Students will also explore how water can lead to erosion and experiment with different ways of minimizing that type of environmental damage.

SATURDAY, MAY 22: Learn about the life cycle of monarchs and which plants they depend on in your garden. Pot up these special plants to take home and start observing monarchs in your own garden.

SATURDAY, MAY 22: Investigate the mysterious tracks left by wildlife on the Reserve. Learn the basics of animal tracking, including basic track shapes and sizes. Make and take your own animal track plaque.

SUNDAY, MAY 23: Tour the grounds in search of blooming natives. Bring a camera or your nature journal to capture their beauty, but please stay on the trail!
