All aboard! Visitors to the Thomas & Friends™: Explore the Rails exhibit will find themselves surrounded by everyone’s favorite blue engine Thomas, his engine friends and the Island of Sodor’s iconic locations.
Children help Thomas and his friends solve a variety of challenges, from a simple sorting and shape identification activity to more complex engineering obstacles.
In the exhibit, children can:
- Climb into the iconic blue train cab and explore the engine’s inner workings as they whistle and steam
- Dress in a conductor’s uniform and load & sort freight and baggage on to train cars
- Take a photo next to a mural of Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt
- Create routes or spurs with toy trains and track pieces, build bridges, and travel around the entire island at the Island Exploration Table
- Fix Percy’s engine with oversized nuts, bolts, wheels, rods, and wrenches and get him ready to chug at Sodor Steamworks
