Symphonies for Youth: The Conductor with Ana María Patiño-Osorio | Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles

Discover how a conductor leads an orchestra through rhythm, melody, and imagination during this interactive Symphonies for Youth concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Guided by conductor Ana María Patiño-Osorio and hosted by DJ Lance Rock, families will journey through lively orchestral favorites including excerpts from Ravel’s Mother Goose, Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, and more.

The 45-minute program introduces children to the role of the conductor and the colorful sounds of the orchestra, beginning with John Adams’ Chairman Dances. Families are encouraged to arrive early at 10:00 a.m. for themed pre-concert activities, including self-guided art projects and hands-on experiences designed for young music lovers.

Recommended for children ages 5-11. Children under age two are not admitted. No intermission.
