Explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math at STEAM Family Day at the La Brea Tar Pits. This interactive event invites kids and teens to dive into hands-on activities, meet STEM professionals, and discover future career paths in a fun, engaging environment.
Families can enjoy scavenger hunts, hands-on crafts, live DJ music, raffles, and up-close experiences with real fossils and museum collections. Visitors can also join guided tarpits tours, explore the Mobile Museum, and interact with scientists and educators from local organizations.
The event features a STEAM resource fair, stage presentations, animal encounters, and storytime, along with food vendors offering a variety of options throughout the day.
