Spend an evening exploring the wonders of the night sky during this free community stargazing event at Whittier Narrows Nature Center. Guests can observe planets including Jupiter, Mars, Uranus, Saturn, and the moon through telescopes while learning about constellations, planetary movements, and seasonal sky changes.
March’s skywatch highlights Venus and Saturn appearing close together near the western horizon after sunset, with Jupiter shining brightly overhead. April’s program features Jupiter glowing in the evening sky alongside Uranus in the constellation Taurus. Clear skies may offer opportunities to view Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s moons through telescopes.
All ages are welcome. This is a free outdoor event.
