Now in its 47th year, the San Clemente Ocean Festival brings a packed weekend of beach competitions, family fun, and ocean-inspired entertainment to the pier. Known as “The Greatest Show on Surf,” this free community festival celebrates surf culture with contests, classic cars, music, art, and more.
Activities include:
- Groms Ruleยฎ Surf Contest
- Junior Lifeguard Competition
- Dolphin Dash beach run for kids
- Family Beach Party & Concert
- Woodies & VW Bus car shows on the pier
- Sand Sculpting Contest with cash prizes
- Ocean Art Show featuring beach-themed art and goods
- Great Rubber Duck Race
- Youth Pavilion with crafts, games, face painting, Shark Lab, and all-day live performances
Many contests require pre-registration. Entry fees vary by event. All ages are welcome, and general festival admission is free.
