The 53rd Annual CSULB Pow Wow at Puvungna is a large American Indian social celebration hosted by California State University, Long Beach. The event highlights the university’s American Indian presence and brings together communities to celebrate culture, traditions, and heritage.

Throughout the two-day gathering, visitors can experience traditional American Indian dancing, inter-tribal dancing, and dance contests, along with California Indian cultural presentations and Gourd dancing. Native food vendors will offer dishes such as Navajo tacos, fry bread, Indian burgers, and stews.

The event also features American Indian artists and vendors selling traditional and contemporary artwork, crafts, and goods. The Pow Wow takes place at the Intramural Rugby and Soccer Fields on the CSULB campus. Admission and parking are free.
