Saturday, February 28

Saturday, February 28, 2026

Pacific Symphony presents Peter and the Wolf as part of its Family Musical Mornings series at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Sergei Prokofiev’s beloved symphonic story introduces young audiences to the orchestra, with each instrument representing a different character—from the spirited strings as Peter to the clarinet as the Cat. Follow Peter on his daring journey to outsmart the Wolf through vivid narration and live orchestral performance. Conducted by Pola Benke and narrated by Annika Kedhar, the concert blends storytelling, humor, and symphonic music into an engaging family experience. Performances take place at 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., with Image Magnification (IMAG) projected on the big screen for a closer look at the musicians.

Highlights include:

  • Live Pacific Symphony performance
  • Orchestra character themes
  • Big-screen IMAG viewing
  • Lobby crafts & games
  • Instrument petting zoo

Lobby activities take place from 9:00–9:45 a.m. for 10:00 a.m. concertgoers and 12:15–1:00 p.m. for 11:30 a.m. concertgoers. All attendees, regardless of age, must have a ticket for entry.
