Join Long Beach Youth Chorus for its 8th Season!

Monday, September 9

The Long Beach Youth Chorus begins its eighth season on September 9th with a slate of exciting performance opportunities for their singers. Under new Artistic Director Stan DeWitt, the Chorus will sing with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra and the Long Beach Chorale, as well as its own performances, which includes two concerts and a Cabaret, that is focused on solos and duets.

The Chorus focuses on developing strong musicianship and vocal technique in its young singers, in an atmosphere that is fun and supportive. Registration includes the chance to be part of the Chorus’ Music Mastery program, a music education program that trains musicians in all aspects of musicianship, sight-singing and ear-training.

The Chorus is broken into two ensembles: Young Musicians Program is for singers in grades 2-5, and our Master Singers is for singers in grades 6-12. Both ensembles are open to singers without audition. There is also a Chamber Singers group, that is made up of auditioned singers from the Master Singers.

Rehearsals on Sunday afternoons at St. Matthew Church on 7th and Temple in Long Beach.

Tuition for the season is just $150.

Register or get more information at longbeachyouthchorus.org, or email Stan DeWitt at stan@longbeachyouthchorus.org.
