Celebrate the art of printing with a full day of history, hands-on activities, and rare finds at the museum’s annual Wayzgoose event.
A Wayzgoose is a centuries-old tradition dating back to the 1500s—an annual gathering of printers to mark the end of the summer and the beginning of the printing season.
This old tradition for printers comes to life with live demonstrations, interactive stations, and a surplus sale filled with vintage printing treasures.
Special guest John Barrett, owner of Letterpress Things in Massachusetts, will make a rare West Coast appearance, offering a curated selection of supplies, type, and printer’s cuts for sale.
Highlights include:
- Letterpress Surplus Sale with vintage equipment and supplies
- Live printing demonstrations
- Hands-on printing activities and mini-tours
- Special guest appearance by John Barrett
Event runs 9am–4pm. Tickets are $12; advance purchase includes a $5 Surplus Sale voucher.
