Monday, January 19

Monday, January 19, 2026

Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a full day of music, dialogue, hands-on creativity, and community service at CAAM. Families can take part in a “faux stained glass” workshop inspired by Dr. King’s vision of the Beloved Community, join the King Study Group for a listening and discussion session on King’s 1967 speech “The Three Evils of Society,” and enjoy a powerful concert by the Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles. Food trucks will be on site, and guests are encouraged to bring new or gently used children’s books for the community donation drive supporting the Little Free Library at the Crenshaw Family YMCA.

All ages welcome. RSVP requested.
