Supervisor Doug Chaffee’s Fourth District Kids Fishing Derby returns to Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea.

Kids ages 6–15 can try their luck at the fishing derby from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with prizes awarded to top catches. Bait is provided at no cost, and fishing rods are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. A food truck will be on site for breakfast and coffee, plus a free hot dog lunch provided by the Orange County Employees Association.

The event is open to residents of the Fourth District, which includes Brea, Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra, Placentia, Stanton, and portions of Anaheim. Kids participating in the fishing derby must pre-register via the RSVP form at bos4.oc.gov/fishingderby, though all attendees must check in at the event regardless of pre-registration status.
