This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign emphasizes the importance of functional smoke alarms in homes with the theme “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” The Huntington Beach Fire Department’s Open House offers families a chance to engage in fun activities and demonstrations, including a firefighter agility course, live firefighting and CPR demonstrations, station tours, and the opportunity to meet Sparky the Firedog, all while enjoying complimentary hot dogs and refreshments.
