City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine’s Mobile Recess Program is going on now weekdays from 2:30 to 5 p.m., through February 22.
PRM staff conducts supervised physical fitness, and arts and crafts activities for ages 5-14 along designated streets blocked off for safety. Register online on LBParks.org, or in person at any of the participating Mobile Recess locations:
Monday & Wednesday Sites
- Atlantic Plaza Park, located in the Carmelitos Housing Community, 1000 Via Wanda Ave.
- Craftsman Village Park, 851 Orange Ave.
Tuesday & Thursday Sites
- Rose Park, corner of Orizaba Avenue and 8th Street
- 17th Street between Henderson Avenue and Chestnut Avenue
Friday Sites
- 23rd Street between Cedar Avenue and Chestnut Avenue
- Burton Chace Park, located at Market Street and Dairy Avenue
