One of San Pedroโs most meaningful traditions returns for its 48th year with the annual Fourth of July Community Observance at the Korean Bell of Friendship. This free event brings the community together to honor Independence Day with cultural performances, guest speakers, and the powerful ceremonial ringing of the bell.
The ceremony concludes with the bell ringing 13 timesโonce for each of the original American coloniesโas community members recite the names of the states. It’s a thoughtful and symbolic tradition set in one of LA’s most scenic locations.
