Step into an immersive new habitat where guests can walk alongside a herd of African elephants and experience their world on an unprecedented scale. This expansive savanna environment invites visitors to observe elephants roaming, swimming, splashing, and interacting in a setting designed to reflect their natural landscape.
The experience features vast grasslands, up-close viewing opportunities, and Mkutano House, where guests can enjoy food and drinks while overlooking the watering hole. Through the Savanna Conservation Hub, the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance partners with Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya to support community-driven conservation efforts that protect elephants and their habitats.
Opening day is March 5, 2026 at noon. Admission to the Safari Park is required.
