Discovery Zone | Madrona Marsh Nature Center, Torrance

Saturday, May 19

3rd Saturday of Every Month
10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Discovery Zone at Madrona Marsh Nature Center is a hands-on space where young explorers learn about nature through play, curiosity, and discovery. Children can touch, observe, and investigate real objects from the marsh, including feathers, seeds, animal tracks, shells, and plant samples.

Interactive displays and simple science activities teach how plants and animals survive, why wetlands are important, and how people can help protect the environment. From using magnifiers to matching animal footprints or building a food web, the Discovery Zone encourages creativity, questions, and respect for wildlife.
