Santa Monica Pier honors life, memory, and community during its sixth annual Día de los Muertos Celebration.
The two-day event transforms the historic Merry Go-Round building into a glowing display of altars and art installations by local artists Sylvia Sanchez and Yolanda Medina.
Guests can contribute photos to the community ofrenda, enjoy live mariachi and Ballet Folklórico performances, and join a sunset procession led by Aztec dancers.
Complimentary activities include face painting, live music, and family-friendly cultural experiences.
