Each year, Gloria Molina Grand Park transforms into a vibrant space of remembrance and cultural pride with Downtown Día de los Muertos.

This nine-day, free exhibition features 19 community-created altars. Visitors are invited to contribute photos or messages to the community ofrenda.

Event Highlights:

Opening Celebration
Saturday, Oct 25 | 11 AM – 4 PM

  • Live performances by Mariachi Las Catrinas, Ballet Folklorico, and DJ El Marchante.
  • Sacred Indigenous blessings, family workshops, sugar skull crafts, and wellness activities.
  • Part of Grand Ave Arts: All Access.

Nine-Day Exhibition
Oct 25 – Nov 2 | 8 AM – 9 PM

  • View community altars created by artists, organizations, and families across LA.

Closing Celebration (Noche de los Muertos)
Sunday, Nov 2 | 3 PM – 7 PM

  • A luminous evening of reflection featuring Latin GRAMMY®-nominated Lupita Infante and Boleros with Attitude (BWA).
  • Lantern-making, marigold dye art, mercado artisans, and candlelit offerings illuminate the park.
