Celebrate ocean ecosystems at the 6th Annual California Seaweed Festival, a full day of ocean-inspired fun, science, and creativity. Families can enjoy hands-on seaweed crafts, touch tanks, cooking demos, and live music while exploring how seaweed connects art, food, and science. The theme this year is Urban Ocean Ecosystems.
Highlights include:
- Seaweed pressing, printing, and collage art
- Epoxy pendant making and Ocean Jenga
- Meet mermaids of the Kelp Forest
- Puppet show, science talks, and video screenings
- Vendors, food, and cooking demonstrations
The festival runs 10amโ6pm at Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Most activities are free. Tickets required for workshops.
