Astronomy Night is a recurring monthly event that invites guests to learn about astronomy and observe the night sky through telescopes. The evening begins with a talk from a guest speaker who shares insights about current astronomy topics and research.
This month’s program features a guest speaker from Cosmos & Coffee, an astronomy outreach series that brings accessible space talks to libraries and community venues throughout the greater Los Angeles area. The program was co-founded by astrophysicist Dr. Francisco J. Mercado and Fabian Aguilar of Angeles Coffee Cart. Complimentary coffee will be available for attendees while supplies last.
Following the presentation, guests can observe celestial objects through telescopes, weather permitting. The event is open to all ages, although some presentations may be better suited for older children and adults. Event is free.
