March 21 – 22: The annual Sheep Shearing Event takes place at the historic Highland Springs Ranch & Inn (est. 1884) located in Cherry Valley, CA, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles.
This family friendly event gives a close-up view of how sheep are shorn and what is done with the wool. Guests can wash the wool, learn about natural dyes and also visit the farm to feed the organic sheep and meet the new born lambs.
