DESCRIPTION:Date\nSelect dates\, February 14 – May 25\, 2026 \nWhat is this event?\nJoin the Ocean Institute for a guided tidepool hike led by an expert naturalist. Families will explore a rocky Marine Protected Area located directly behind the Ocean Institute and learn about the animals that call Southern California tidepools home. \nWho is this event good for? \n\nIs this good for kids? Yes — for older kids who enjoy outdoor exploration.\nBest age range: Recommended for ages 4 and up.\nIs it family-friendly? Yes! Families are welcome\, with adult supervision required.\n\nWhat can families expect to do?\nDuring the hike\, participants may spot snails\, crabs\, sea stars\, and other tidepool animals while learning about marine ecosystems.
