DESCRIPTION:October 13 – November 7\, 2026 \nStep back to the Middle Ages with a hands-on field trip for youth\, adults\, and active seniors. \nHear what life was like in medieval times during a docent talk\, then see a suit of armor and chainmail tunic up close. Banners and shields add a castle feel to the classroom. \nCreate a piece of art to take home by rubbing metallic waxes over metal plates covered with special paper. The brass plates are replicas of memorials from the churches of England\, 1200-1500 AD. \nEvent highlights: \n\nDocent talk on medieval history\nSuit of armor and chainmail tunic\nHands-on brass rubbing\nEnglish tea in the tea room\nChurch tour\, if requested\n\nGroups of 10 or more are welcome by reservation. All materials are provided\, and brass rubbing is $12 per person. English tea is available if reserved ($20 for youth\, $30 for adults\, brass rubbing included). A tour of the church may be available at no charge if requested in advance.
