This expansive savanna environment invites visitors to observe elephants roaming\, swimming\, splashing\, and interacting in a setting designed to reflect their natural landscape. \nThe experience features vast grasslands\, up-close viewing opportunities\, and Mkutano House\, where guests can enjoy food and drinks while overlooking the watering hole. Through the Savanna Conservation Hub\, the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance partners with Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in Kenya to support community-driven conservation efforts that protect elephants and their habitats. \nOpening day is March 5\, 2026 at noon.
