MARCH 16 - APRIL 15: Is your child up for the challenge to solve a Nature Center mystery? The City of Long Beach is offering an after school camp program called Nature Detectives, at El Dorado Nature Center for Kindergarten-5th Grade. As detectives, kids will use their observational skills, conduct research, and make new discoveries while exploring the trails.
The El Dorado Nature Center outdoor concerts will open for picnicking at 6:30 p.m. with live music from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring low chairs or blankets and a picnic dinner.
THURSDAYS, OCTOBER 7 - DECEMBER 16: Join a guided after-hours walk to see all the nocturnal creatures that call the Nature Center home. Pre-registration required and fills up fast!
OCTOBER 9: Members of the Southern California Turtle and Tortoise Club will display turtles from all over the world. Free event, Parking $8
OCTOBER 23: Delicious Shivers and Startled Gasps by South Coast Storytellers Guild. Join them for spooky stories as the sun sets over the Nature Center. Free Event, Parking $8.
DECEMBER 20 -24 and 27 – 31: Children, ages 5-8, will enjoy two different camps: Wild Journeys and Superpower Senses. Register early as these fill up fast.
MARCH 9 • APRIL 13 • MAY 11, 2022: Bring your imagination and sense of adventure as you and your child celebrate the seasons with a special morning of stories, nature play, and outdoor exploration.
SATURDAY, MAY 14: Visit with members of the California Turtle and Tortoise Club to learn about one of the Nature Center's favorite animals.
