DESCRIPTION:Friday\, July 4\, 2025 \nOne of San Pedro’s most meaningful traditions returns for its 48th year with the annual Fourth of July Community Observance at the Korean Bell of Friendship. This free event brings the community together to honor Independence Day with cultural performances\, guest speakers\, and the powerful ceremonial ringing of the bell. \nThe ceremony concludes with the bell ringing 13 times—once for each of the original American colonies—as community members recite the names of the states. It’s a thoughtful and symbolic tradition set in one of LA’s most scenic locations. \nActivities include: \n\nCultural performances and guest speakers\nCeremony honoring the 13 original colonies\nRinging of the Korean Bell\nCommunity celebration in a historic setting\n\nFree and open to all ages. \n
