March 1: The Peninsula Committee Los Angeles Philharmonic invites you to Music in the Garden, which showcases young musicians of Peninsula and South Bay schools.
THIRD THURSDAY - MONTHLY: Visit the South Coast Botanic Garden for free every third Thursday of the month. This 87-acres garden features a small lake, Children’s Garden and Children’s Discovery Garden.
EVERY THIRD SUNDAY: Grab your leash and your fur babies and head to the Garden! During special dog walking hours, you’re invited to bring your four-legged friends to the 87 acres of the Garden.
JUNE 18-20: Show the dads in your life that you love them gnome-body else! Gnomes will be hidden throughout the Garden for a fun scavenger hunt—you'll need to roam to find the gnomes! Craft beer, cocktails, and charcuterie boards available for purchase.
THROUGH NOVEMBER 30: Come experience SOAR – Monarch Migration and discover the journey of the mighty monarch butterfly family. SOAR guides will help you become a butterfly detective, while their host and nectar garden will be planted with everything our western monarchs love.
NOVEMBER 20 - JANUARY 17, 2022: South Coast Botanic Garden is proud to present GLOW (Garden Lights & Ocean Waters), a visually stunning light display that will transform their lush botanic oasis into an oceanic experience.
NOVEMBER 21-23, 2021: Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Encanto Nights at GLOW will feature a special pop-up experience to introduce you to Casa Madrigal. Enjoy hands-on activities and a picture-perfect installation inspired by Disney’s upcoming movie, Encanto.
OCTOBER 1 - NOVEMBER 30: This season, South Coast Botanic Garden on the Palos Verdes Peninsula has something for everyone and every scare level with All Things Wicked & Wonderful.
NOVEMBER 5 - JANUARY 24: This new exhibition from artist Sean Kenney features more than 40 sculptures made from LEGO® pieces. The sculptures, sprinkled throughout the garden’s 87 acres, explore the beauty of nature through contemporary, stylized and colorful displays that stand in striking contrast with their surroundings.
JANUARY 28-29: Enjoy Chinese zodiac scroll making, paper lantern decorating, Chinese paper cutting, Chinese game booths, calligraphy demo, live performances, and storytelling.
APRIL 1 - SEPTEMBER 30: Sixteen giant creatures made from beach debris have washed ashore and landed at the Garden through September.
MAY 1 - AUGUST 31: See hundreds of tropical butterflies that you wouldn't normally see in Southern California.
NOW - JANUARY 14: Journey through the gardens and encounter larger-than-life troll sculptures created by Thomas Dambo.
