DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, February 22\, 2026 \nMuseum of Latin American Art celebrates the culture\, music\, and art of the Afro-Latinx community with a free family festival. \nExperience live performances\, art workshops\, Afro-Latinx-owned businesses\, and DJ sets throughout the day from 11 am to 5 pm. DJ iLLMeca performs sets between featured acts including Puentes de Poder (12:30 pm)\, Plenazo Tribe with Afro Puerto Rican plena music (2 pm)\, and Kimbambula Cuban Dance & Music Ensemble (4:15 pm). The festival highlights African legacy in Latin America through food\, art\, and cultural presentations. Walk-ins are welcome with no reservations required. \nPerformance schedule: \n\n11:00 am: Opening remarks and DJ iLLMeca\n12:30 pm: Puentes de Poder (multicultural percussion)\n2:00 pm: Plenazo Tribe (Afro Puerto Rican plena)\n4:15 pm: Kimbambula Cuban Dance & Music Ensemble\nDJ sets throughout the day\nArt workshops and presentations\n\nAdmission is free.
