Cerritos College, Community Education
Year-round SAT Prep classes on weekends (three Saturdays), as well as summer, two-week (Monday – Friday) SAT Prep classes. In the summer, classes are offered for kids (grades 1-12) in all math levels (Math Basics to Trigonometry), as well as over 20 reading and writing courses. Summer courses run Monday – Friday for two weeks, two hours each class. Additional classes are available in arts, music, cooking, Spanish, sign language, STEM and sports. Literacy Tutoring Program at the Kathleen Muth Reading Center teaches reading and writing to culturally and linguistically diverse elementary students. A variety of classes are offered in the cities of Anaheim, Cypress, and Fullerton. Reading classes focus on phonics, basic reading skills, reading comprehension, spelling, and writing enrichment. They offer math courses that align with Common Core, as well as pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, PSAT/NMSQT math test prep, and SAT/ACT math test prep. Personal enrichment classes such as public speaking, memory power, computer keyboarding, and techniques to improve their studying, test-taking, and organization skills. Classes are available for those between 2 and 17 years old, and costs range between $50 and $120.
