Pacific Marine Mammal Center
Pacific Marine Mammal Center rescues, rehabilitates and releases marine mammals.
After-school and Girl Scouts programs available. Participants can learn how to rehabilitate seal and sea lion patients through a series of mock activities including weighing fish, preparing fish smoothies, cleaning pens and learning the art of marine mammal rescue.
Ocean Heroes is an after school science program designed for children ages 8-12. Children are engaged in marine science and conservation topics including hands-on lab activities, STEM professional guest speakers, and offsite excursions! Monthly activities correspond with different conservation themes designed to educate, build awareness, and interest about the environment and marine life. This program meets once a month from October to May. Check website for further details.
