Pacific Marine Mammal Center
Pacific Marine Mammal Center rescues, rehabilitates and releases marine mammals.
After-school and Girl Scout programs available. Participants can learn how to rehabilitate seal and sea lion patients through a series of mock activities including weighing fish, preparing fish smoothies, cleaning pens and learning the art of marine mammal rescue.
Ocean Heroes is an after-school science program designed for children ages 8-12. Participants are engaged in marine science and conservation topics including hands-on lab activities, STEM professional guest speakers, and offsite excursions. Monthly activities correspond with conservation themes designed to educate, build awareness, and interest about the environment and marine life. Monthly, October – May.
Visit their Butterfly Garden to see bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
